Please note:

• If you are interested in being a Chaperone you will need an Orange Polo
• If you are interested in being part of the Pit Crew you will need an Orange Polo
• If you are interested in sitting with the band during Football Games you will need an Orange Polo
• Or if you just want to show your pride and join the rest of us, you will want an Orange Polo

Orange Polos are available in Mens and Womens styles, sizes S – XXL. They cost $25 each. Please email parents@vhsmusic.org with your order no later than Wednesday, September 8th. Deliver cash or check (payable to RSDMF) to the Band Room Drop Box. [Late orders can be accommodated, but they may not arrive before our first competition.]

If you were unable to attend our first parent meeting, please view this redacted agenda from our meeting for important information. Also please fill out the RSDMF Membership Application and the Family Contact Information & Volunteer Interest Checklist forms and return them to the band room as soon as possible. For those parents who were unable to attend the meeting, RSDMF will be happy to present this material again, after our regular business at our next parent meeting on September 20th.

Valhalla Band and Color Guard will be holding their first Flapjack fundraiser on Saturday, September 18th from 8am-10am at the Applebee's in Parkway Plaza. Students will be selling tickets for $10 each which will include an all-you-can eat breakfast of flapjacks (pancakes), eggs, bacon, sausage and drinks. The restaurant will be ours for the entire morning. Top-selling students will get the chance to be our servers and appropriately collect any tips they earn. Each ticket sold will earn us $5 profit. Valhalla Band and Color Guard will be visiting Scotland and Ireland for their Spring 2011 international trip. Our tour group was able to lower the price by $586 because of the economy differences from last year to this. What a bargain now! Please click here for itinerary and payment information.

Summer Band Camp will take place the two weeks before school starts - Monday through Friday starting Monday, August 23rd to Friday, September 3rd from 1:00pm to 9:00pm. Please see the band camp page and the band camp flyer for more information. Marching Band night practices in the fall will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm beginning on Wednesday, September 8th.
