Concert Band

Description

Concert band is for students who have prior experience playing band wind instruments (brass and woodwind) either in middle school or high school. Eligibility is based upon identified proficiency and teacher recommendation of both the feeder school director and high school director. This group may combine with the Symphonic Band to form the full Concert Band during concert season. Because of the performance nature of this class, participation in rehearsals and performances before, during and after the regular school day is a mandatory part of this course curriculum. During the fall semester, must be concurrently enrolled in the Marching Band. Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation and prior experience.
